HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Course Description

This course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform the essential lifesaving technique of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Content is based on the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines 2011.

  • Respond to signs of an unconscious casualty
  • Perform CPR in line with ARC guidelines
  • Infection control
  • Demonstrate the use of AED
  • Provide an accurate verbal report of the incident

Course Description

Students must be at least 14 years of age at the time of attendance. There are no course prerequisites for CPR training. Important note: In order to issue an accredited certificate CPR must be performed on the floor with no exemptions.

Course Format

The face to face training is 2.5 hours and covers both theory and practical aspects of CPR Training. Students are required to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the course commencement or may be refused entry.

Group Training

Provide First Aid Gold Coast provides discounted training for groups of 12-18 students at your office or workplace.

The CPR course can be customised to meet your industry requirements. Provide First Aid Gold Coast also provides an Advanced Management System to notify clients and students when certificates are due to expire, ensuring staff are always compliant.

Our trainers have 10 years of industry experience and guarantee a professional learning experience. State-of-the art resources and learning material are provided for theory and practical learning and all students must pass the course prior to receiving certification.

Qualification Issued

On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally accredited course – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation HLTAID001.

Certificates are emailed following each course.

Certificate Validity

The CPR certificate is valid for 12 months. Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills are refreshed annually.

Enrolment Confirmation

Once enrolled, Provide First Aid Gold Coast will email students a CPR course booking confirmation with venue details, maps, course requirements and terms of enrolment.
